One of the most significant aspects has been the opportunity to build a large network within the company and across the finance industry. Today, this extensive network simplifies my project management and enhances stakeholder engagement. Interacting with experienced professionals and fellow trainees has enriched my understanding of various financial perspectives and practices.

The program provided an extensive view of finance, allowing me to understand the bigger picture. Additionally, I was entrusted with responsibilities from early on, which fostered a sense of ownership and accountability in my work.

My assignment abroad in Madrid further broadened my horizons, enhanced my adaptability and exposed me to international finance practices and diverse cultural perspectives. The high exposure to various projects and initiatives has accelerated my learning curve, pushing me to develop new skills and competencies rapidly. Overall, the treasury trainee program has been instrumental in shaping my career trajectory, instilling in me the confidence and expertise needed to thrive in the finance sector.

What impact did the program have on your personal & professional growth?

What makes the program great is that it provides you with opportunities and insights you would never have as a regular Graduate. You are interacting with the most senior leaders of the organization early on, and, if you deliver, get access to great follow-up roles after the program. For me, this opened the role as HRBP for HR right after the program, followed by an international assignment to the US for 2.5 years as Integrated Solution Partner (Rewards, People Analytics and Talent) for Healthcare and now, my current position, as Chief of Staff to the CHRO. The way the program is designed comes with steep learning and personal growth (in terms of personal maturity, navigating the matrix, cultural savviness and so much more) and a great network and I would strongly recommend it to anybody who is curious about HR and driven.
